Pizza Recipe


 

If we look back a couple of decades, it can be observed that people had a very few choices in fast food and normally it was desi. But with the evolving times and the influence of west and east through internet and TV, we are trying and incorporating different cuisines in our daily food. The most famous in Pakistan are Chinese, Thai, Arabic and Italian.

The Italian cuisine is the most famous among the youngsters. The variety of pastas, pizza, lasagna and breads are very popular food choices in Pakistan. Now pizza have a separate fan base. I don’t think that anyone hates it!!!!!! Everyone loves a loaded cheesy pizza, no matter the time. The best thing about them is that you can top it with any kind of meat choice; processed meat like sausages, pepperoni and ham. You can also make a plain cheese pizza if you have a fetish for cheese and you don’t care for being over weight or love to work out after having it. 😂

 

Preparation time: 2 - 3 hours

Serves: 6 - 8 persons

 

Ingredients:

All-purpose flour/Maida                     250 Grams

Instant yeast                                       1 packet

Salt                                                      1 leveled Teaspoon

Sugar                                                   1 ½ Teaspoon

Oil (vegetable, canola, or olive)          8 - 10 tablespoon

Dry milk                                               2 - 3 tablespoon

Water                                                  ¾ - 1 cup

Chicken                                               ½ kg

Pizza sauce                                          1 bottle (any brand)

Salt                                                      to taste

Black Pepper                                       to taste

Chili flakes                                           3 – 4 teaspoon

Oregano                                              ½ - 1 teaspoon

Sausages                                             2 – 3 pieces

Corn                                                    1 Can

Pizza cheese (shredded)                     for topping

(30% cheddar & 70% mozzarella)

Bell peppers (yellow, red)                   for toppings    

Green & Black olives                           for toppings

Recipe:

1.      First for dough mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl with 3 – 4 tablespoon oil. And knead the dough with lukewarm water and set it aside for the dough to rise for roughly 2 or 3 hours in a warm to moderate environment.

2.      In a skillet take 4 – 5 tablespoons of oil add chicken and fry it for 2 mins and then add salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to it. Fry it for another 15 – 20 mins and cover the skillet and let it sit for 5 – 10 mins on low flame.

3.      Now, if the dough has risen, knead and roll out the dough according to the size of the pizza pan you are using.

4.      Spread pizza sauce on the dough and the chicken you prepared before.

5.      Now add sliced sausages and corn and mushrooms if u want to the pizza.

6.      Spread a heavy layer of pizza cheese to it.

7.      Add the toppings of your choice in the end. As I topped it with bell peppers, Green and black olives, and onions.

8.      Bake it for 20 – 25 mins on 180 degree Celsius and with the top grill on for another 5 mins.

9.      Take it out of the oven and sprinkle chili flakes and oregano on top of it and serve it with an assortment of salads, soft drinks, and sauces. ENJOY!!!!!
