Namak Paray and Tea Recipe

Crema Review

With the rising trends of breakfast dining and coffee houses around the twin cities, there are a few names you just can’t miss. Crema is one of those. The bhook brigade recently heard of Crema serving one of the best brunch platters in town. We’ve been to Crema before to try out their famous Macrons and had a really good experience, so we were really excited to go and try their brunch platter.

We went to the Beverly center branch of Crema which offers a small but very well lit and well decorated setup. The ambiance is overall very cozy and the light interior just brightens up your day! So full marks there. You do also have the option for outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the sun.

After being seated, we already knew what to order. So straightaway, we went with their brunch platter. The platter consisted of the following items:

·         Chicken Croissant

·         Scrambled Eggs

·         Salad

·         Cheese & Tomatoes

·         2x Mini Blueberry Pancakes

·         Grilled bread

·         Butter

·         2x Chicken Sausages

·         Mashed Potato

·         Cheesy Potato Spud

·         Chicken Quiche

·         Fruit bowl with cream and nuts

Long list, no? Well the platter was sufficient in quantity and was enough to serve two bhook brigade soldiers. Each and every item was served at the perfect temperature and was fresh. The salad and fruits were freshly cut. Chicken quiche & Potato spud were freshly baked and and the toast had just the right amount of crisp! As you can see, the presentation of the platter was also quite appealing to the eyes. The blueberry pancake were so soft that they literally melted in your mouth. The sausages were lightly seasoned with oregano which gave it a very nice aroma and taste. The chicken croissant had a generous filling which was nice and warm and tasted great. The scrambled eggs were just the way I like them. There is a fine line between overcooked and under cooked scrambled eggs, and these were right above that line. Just a little salt & pepper garnishing and you are good to go.

For me, the show stopper was the chicken croissant. The croissant was soft and fluffy while the filling had chicken in tomato paste which gave it a little tangy flavor. Overall, I was really impressed by the food quality and there is not a single thing I would point out and say it needs improvement. And guess what? This flavorful beauty doesn’t cost you much either. The platter was for around PKR 1,500 only! And did I forget to mention the free beverage of your choice you get with the platter? We ordered the Latte which was made out of freshly brewed coffee beans and gave us the right amount of energy we needed to start our day.

The staff was very courteous and offered great service, right from opening the door for us to greeting us out. The food was also served pretty fast with all the required condiments and utensils. It feels really good that you don’t need to ask for anything like tissue papers, toothpicks etc. This represents some really good staff training. So we were highly impressed by the quality of service.

So if you are looking for something Affordable yet fancy for breakfast without any compromise on taste & service, Bhook brigade strongly recommends Crema. Trust us to try it once, and you’ll visit again.
