Namak Paray and Tea Recipe

Ox & Grill Review

This review is for everyone, Our carnivores as well as our herbivore bhookas! As this has both their favorite entrees. Today we review Ox & Grill and two of its famous dishes. Ox & Grill has slowly expanded over the twin cities because of its unmatched service and great quality. That’s the reason it has left behind many well established competitors and has risen above all. Although the restaurant offers a great range varying from burgers, pastas, sea food & sandwiches, but they take pride in their steaks, and that’s well deserved.

We went there for lunch and were in the mood to not just try steaks, but other items as well.

Our brigade believes that a steak is the best thing you can do to a meat! But as we also wanted to try their other menu items. so we ordered a platter along with their famous Nachos which are served in a Nacho bowl itself! The platter had the following contents:

·         Penne Arrabiata (We requested to switch with alfredo)

·         Butterfly Prawns

·         Beef/Chicken Steak with choice of sauce

·         Saute vegetables

·         French Fries

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at the door and were also seated by them. As we went for lunch and there wasn’t much rush, so the service was actually very good. I have visited many times after that with a full house, but still their service is up to the mark. The food was served within 20-25 minutes which is pretty standard.

The platter was more than enough for one giant bhooka or 2 mini bhookas, It was HUGE!, believe me, the picture does not do justice. The butterfly prawns were nice and crispy, just the way I like it, because I only like prawns when they are fried. And their batter was very crispy and had the perfect seasoning, not over powering the taste of the prawns. I personally don’t like Penne Arrabiata that’s why we got it replaced with Alfredo sauce and the staff was kind enough to accommodate us in this regard. The pasta was to be honest a bit bland and we had to season it ourselves with a bit of salt and pepper, so that was just okay. Fries? Obviously it’s very hard to go wrong with them. They were nice and warm, and sufficient in quantity. Same goes for the Saute vegetables. Now my favorite, the steak! I ordered the steak in beef with a side of mushroom sauce. The cooking temperature was medium well. The steak had the perfect cut, and the medium well really felt like medium well. Perfectly juicy, yet no sign of blood. It was full of flavor and the sauce enhanced its taste manifolds. It was so creamy and the saute mushrooms in the sauce gave it a very nice texture. So full marks for the steak.

Coming to the Loaded Nachos, They were presented beautifully, The salsa sauce along with the sour cream gave the nachos a very tangy flavor. It had the perfect balance of crisp and sauces. Loaded with jalapenos, olives & crispy lettuce, the nachos were full of flavor. Although Nachos are supposed to be an appetizer, but the quantity was more than sufficient for a full meal. Would suggest the management to add a little more meat in the nachos and they truly become “Loaded”.

Overall, the items were very flavorful and were served warm and fresh, and were very pocket friendly too. Although they can up lift the interior a bit, but the food and service are exceptional. And in this price range, it’s a steal! Highly recommended whenever you want to have a piece of meat!
